Maybe, for you, it was the 734th day at your office job. Or maybe it was when you showed up to your cousin’s baby shower in your favorite velvet dress and combat boots, and your mom asked you, “Is THAT what you’re wearing?”
It’s so incredibly easy to lose your playfulness, your sense of self, your sparkle when you’re just trying to get through the week.
But the truth is, it’s just as easy to take the first steps into re-enchanting your life.
Look, we can’t single-handedly stop the relentless news cycle or cure the cough you've had for two months, but we can help re-energize you, show you how to excavate that elusive sparkle, and get you feeling a little more Glinda (who was, after all, based on a real-life suffragette and feminist badass) and a little less Molly Grue.
All by using fairy tales and folklore.
In three live videos (with replay options) during the challenge week, we'll be covering a TON, including…
How to use insight from fairy tales to see yourself and your trajectory in new ways
What bodylore has to teach you about your reflection and how you feel about it
Why bringing back old-school glamourbombing can completely change how you feel about yourself and the world around you
Why folklore can both ground you and connect you to your local community and ecosystem
A few of the best tips we’ve learned from our study of Romanticism
(And oh, BTW - one person will be winning a FABULOUS prize!!)
Ready to Re-Enchant Your Life??

Hey wait, who's behind this challenge?
Hi! We’re Dr. Sara Cleto and Dr. Brittany Warman. We’re award-winning folklorists, teachers, and writers with a combined 22 years of teaching experience and over 100 publications. Together, we founded The Carterhaugh School of Folklore and the Fantastic, where we teach creative souls how to re-enchant their lives through folklore and fairy tales.
We’re also devoted cat minions, obsessed with chai, and 100% B.F.F.s of more than a decade. We love red lipstick, decadent Gothic novels, and totally crush “Total Eclipse of the Heart” at karaoke.
